Description
(Zinnia elegans) Extracted from the Moscow branch of the Vavilov Institute in a coup by breeders in 1991, this spectacular zinnia variety thankfully made its way to North America. It produces 3′ tall upright plants with 3-4″ single and double flowers that are brilliant red, with an occasional orange blossom. Easy to grow and great for arrangements. Annual.
Instructions – Sow seeds outdoors after last frost. Zinnias prefer well-drained average soil. Water regularly, keeping leaves dry. Remove spent blossoms frequently to prolong blooming.
